Jonathan & Deb Berger

David & Stefanie Berger
Jon and Deb both grew up on Ohio family farms, Jon helped his father tend to their 140 acre Wayne County dairy farm (now Green Vista Farm) while Deb was raised helping on their Ottawa County poultry and melon farmstead. They met while attaining bachelors degrees in agriculture at Ohio State University.
After 14 years of dairy farming, Jonathan decided to follow God's lead and pursued a career which allowed more family time. While actively engaged in farming, his concurrent 5 years work experience in nutrient management at the local soil and water office enforced in him the tremendous value of grasslands in agricultural land conservation and sustainability.
With Deb's continuous support and their childrens participation, Green Vista Farm Grassfed Beef became a reality. While all holding other jobs and handling responsibilities found in any home with littles ones around, the entire family has some level of participation in the family farm. David, the younger son is taking on more responsibility in the day to day operations of the farm. Daniel, the older son, assists with all technical aspects of the business while Jessica, the oldest, is the primary creative marketing director.
Feeder Calf Provider Info
Grazing Acres Incorporated Farm, is a regenerative farm using rotational grazing for our cattle and hogs. The cattle are fed a 100% grassfed diet, raised totally on pasture with no antibiotics or hormones. Our cattle are bred by natural service and then calve in the pasture during late summer and fall each year. They stay with their mothers until they are weaned in June the following year. Bull calves are castrated to become steers by banding in May.
We are a family farm which started 51 years ago in the rolling hills of north Missouri.
